Terms of Service

Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of NullHype (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Gentive (젠티브), a sole proprietorship registered in the Republic of Korea ("Gentive," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age required to use online services in your country). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

NullHype provides AI-assisted tech news curation, summaries, and commentary designed for general audiences. The Service may collect, reference, summarize, and link to publicly available information from third-party sources (e.g., Hacker News, Reddit) to reduce information overload ("FOMO") and identify marketing hype. The Service is not technical engineering documentation and does not provide professional consulting. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time.

3. Accounts & Security

Some features may require user registration through our authentication provider (e.g., Clerk). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or appear to be used for abuse.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• •Interfere with or disrupt the Service (e.g., malware, denial-of-service, excessive scraping, bypassing rate limits).

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or used the Service abusively.

5. Free Service

The Service is currently provided free of charge and does not require payment. If we introduce paid features or subscriptions in the future, we will provide reasonable notice and publish updated terms and/or pricing information before such changes take effect.

6. Emails & Newsletters

By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to receive: Service emails (e.g., account verification, security alerts, important service updates), and Newsletter emails containing curated content and analysis. You may unsubscribe from newsletters via the unsubscribe link included in each email (or via account settings if available). Unsubscribing from newsletters may not stop essential service emails required to operate your account. We are not responsible for delivery failures caused by your email provider, spam filters, incorrect addresses, or other factors outside our control. We may also send administrative or legal notices to your registered email address.

7. Third-Party Content & Links

The Service may reference, summarize, or link to content owned by third parties. Third-party content is the responsibility and property of its respective owners. We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of third-party content. If you believe content presented in the Service infringes your copyright or other rights, contact us at support@nullhype.io. To help us review your request, please include: (i) the URL(s) or location of the content on the Service, (ii) a description of the claimed right and the material at issue, and (iii) your contact information.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including our brand, design, original text, compilations, and AI-assisted commentary generated by us, is owned by Gentive / NullHype and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal or internal business use, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the Service except as explicitly permitted. You may not scrape, systematically extract, reproduce, redistribute, or resell the Service or its outputs except as explicitly permitted by us in writing.

9. Disclaimers & AI Limitations

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gentive shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in such cases, these limitations may not apply to you to the extent prohibited by law.

11. Referral Program

The Service may offer a referral program allowing users to share referral links in exchange for rewards. A "qualified referral" is determined by Gentive in its reasonable discretion (for example, to prevent self-referrals, fake accounts, or spam). We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the referral program at any time, and to withhold or revoke rewards in cases of suspected abuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, and Limitation of Liability) will survive.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice (e.g., by posting on the Service or emailing registered users). Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. International Users & Data Location

Gentive is based in the Republic of Korea, and the Service is operated from Korea. If you access the Service from outside Korea, you understand that your information may be processed in Korea and other locations where our service providers operate. 15. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be brought in the courts of Seoul, Republic of Korea, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
